How Ascot Vale Osteopathy Can Help You
At Ascot Vale Osteopathy, we support Support At Home Program clients by focusing on:
Pain relief and comfort – Helping ease back pain, neck pain, arthritis, joint stiffness and chronic aches.
Mobility and balance – Improving how you walk, stand, get out of chairs and move around your home.
Strength and confidence – Building strength and stability so everyday tasks feel safer and more manageable.
Falls prevention – Identifying risk factors and giving you strategies and exercises to reduce your risk of falling.

How to Use Your Support At Home Program With Us
Here’s how the process usually works:
1. Chat With Us
You (or a family member/carer) contact Ascot Vale Osteopathy and let us know:
- That you have a Support At Home Program
- Who your provider is
- What you’re currently struggling with (pain, mobility, falls, recovery, etc.)
We’ll talk through whether osteopathy is likely to be helpful and how it could fit into your overall care.
2. Talk to Your Home Program Provider
Next, you (or we, with your permission) speak with your care coordinator or case manager to discuss:
- Your current goals and challenges
- How osteopathy can support those goals
- Whether your package can fund some or all of your sessions
We can provide:
- Information about our services
- Letters or reports outlining how osteopathy will help with pain, mobility, function and independence
3. Include Osteopathy in Your Support Program
If your provider agrees, osteopathy can be added to your care plan as part of your ongoing support. This might look like:
- A set number of sessions to start with, or ongoing support
- Regular reviews to see how you’re progressing
- Adjustments based on your needs and goals over time
4. Attend Your Appointments
You attend your appointments at Ascot Vale Osteopathy, where we:
- Listen to your story and goals
- Assess your movement, balance and function
- Provide hands-on treatment (where appropriate)
- Give you simple exercises and strategies to use at home
- Keep your care coordinator updated (with your consent)
Working Together With Your Support Team
We know you may already have a team around you — GP, nurses, carers, support workers. We’re here to add to that team, not replace it.
With your permission, we can:
- Share letters and progress updates with your GP and Support At Home provider
- Align our treatment with your plan
- Make sure everyone understands what we’re working on and why
This collaborative approach helps your Support At Home Prgramsupport your whole health, not just one part of it.
